It all started with a passion for dance and a successful 15 year career as a professional ballet dancer with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet and Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater companies. It matured through personal experiences with numerous dance related injuries and led to the discovery of physiotherapy studies (Bachelor of Science) at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam (Amsterdam) and later, specialization in sports physiotherapy (Master of Science) at the SOMT University (Amersfoort). Creating and managing sports physiotherapy clinic - CiaoFysio and years of working, observing and researching followed.
More then two decades of personal and professional experience with injuries of such physically demanding profession lead me to the deep appreciation of a holistic approach regarding diagnosis and treatment of physical complaints. It also led me to the Art of Osteopathy. After a six year study followed by a year of co-therapy at the Sutherland College in Amsterdam, I achieved my Diploma in Osteopathy (D. O.). Since then, my passion for dance re-started. And now I am “dancing with hands".
